Well, it was more like gleaning, but it was a blast! We ended up with about 7 gallons by the end of the first day’s gleaning, and another 7 1/2 gallons on the second!
Kids went right to work. We were all pitting against each other, trying to see who could get the most. I think Emma and Grace won, but that’s because they teamed up:)
Elijah was the life of the party, picking up “bewberries” storing them in his hat, then one by one, popping them in his mouth. He was constantly yelling at me that he had found “the master of the blueberries!!” and that he “got a jackpot!!”
He kept himself entertained the entire time by playing with dirt, eating strawberries, and talking to himself. He was defiantly the life of the party:)
I finally found “my road”…
got a good picture of a John Deere…
and put sleepy kids to bed.
